Beef cutlets are a favorite of all meat lovers, especially among the people of India. This snack is sure to be found in any bakery and is one of the best selling mainly tea snacks or appetizers in South India!

The cutlet is a lemon-sized deep-fried snack with a stuffed filling wrapped in breadcrumbs. The filling is usually made with meat, chicken, egg or vegetables. The joy of eating a beef cutlet for cutlet lovers starts from the moment they set their eyes on it. The beauty of the brown patty; The whole experience of softness, crispy crust, sponge soft filling, spice, pepper, meaty, overload of spices when you catch it. This is with a hot cup of tea.

Ingredients


300 g beef (medium sized cubes)

1 tbsp meat masala

1 1/2 tsp pepper powder

Tsp turmeric

1 stalk of curry leaves (approximately chopped)

2 potatoes (medium size)

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 whole eggs or egg whites

1 large onion (finely chopped)

2 green chillies (cut into circles)

3 Garlic (chopped)

1 inch size ginger (chopped)

Oil (for deep frying)

Water (as needed)

Salt (enough)


Instructions 

Cook beef: Beef cleaned, salt, turmeric powder, pepper powder (1 tbsp), water (as needed),


Cook in a pressure cooker for about 3 whistles (depending on the type of beef being cooked).


Allow the pressure to release on its own and allow to cool completely.


Grind the cooked beef into slices with a fork or in a food processor.


Add a little water and salt to the potatoes and cook under pressure until 2 whistles.


Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and a pinch of salt and fry till golden brown. Add chopped ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. Mix well.


Add meat seasoning and pepper and fry on low heat for 3 minutes, mixing well. Turn off the fire.


Add mashed potatoes and boiled meat to this mixture and mix well, allowing it to rest.


Eggs: In a small bowl, you can replace whole eggs with egg whites.


Breadcrumbs: Breadcrumbs are made by toasting bread and grinding it in a mixer. Take the breadcrumbs in a bowl.


Make lemon-sized patties from the prepared meat filling.


Prepare the pan by heating the oil on low heat to deep fry the cutlets.


Dip each patty in the egg batter, cover with bread crumbs and carefully place in a frying pan.


Deep fry until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel to remove excess oil.


Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
