Poricha pathiri is a type of pathiri which is more thicker than usually pathiris and deep frying in oil. Poricha pathiri is one of the hundred different varieties of the pathiri dishes of Malabar. It is tasty, and of flavours as well.

INGREDIENTS
 
3/4 cup All purpose flour (maida)
1/4 cup Suji (rava)
1 nos (small size) Onion sliced
5-6 nos Garlic crushed
1 tsp Fennel seed
1/4 tsp Sesame seed
Salt to taste
Oil as required
1 cup water (as required)

INSTRUCTIONS
 
heat a pan. add water, onion sliced, crushed garlic, fennel seed and salt. Allow it boil.
Once it starts to boil, add maida and rava powder. You must add maida and rava powder little by little stirring continuously(very important). Stir well with a spoon. Keep mixing with the spoon for 2 minutes over low flame. Then remove from heat. Transfer to a flat tray.
Add sesame seed and knead well when it is still warm to a smooth dough.
Divide the soft dough into 2 big balls.
Take a ball and roll it into a thick pathiri. Should have a minimum thickness. With a round lid or glass, cut them into small round pathiris.
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Once hot, fry each pathiris until both sides are golden brown done over a medium flame.
Transfer to a paper towel. Serve hot along with beef curry.
