Pazham Pori / Pazham pori recipe thattukada style ( Banana Fry Hotel Style )
Banana fry Pazham Pori ethakka appam – Pazham pori is made from bananas or plantain. Plantains are slit lengthwise after peeling and is dipped into a batter made from all purpose flour, salt, turmeric powder, cardamom, (soda podi/pulimavu) and sugar. Pazham pori is served usually along with chai or tea as a snack in the evening. In kerala some restaurants pazham pori is served along with beef.

INGREDIENTS
1. 3 nos banana (nendra pazham or ripe plantain)
2. 1 cup maida (all purpose flour)
3. 1/4 cup besan flour
4. 1 tbsp rice flour
5. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
6. 3 nos cardamom (crushed)
7. 1 tsp cumin seed
8. 2 tbsp sugar
9. 1/6 tsp (4 pinch) baking soda/cooking soda
10. water add as required
11. oil for deep frying
12. 1 tbsp pulimav
INSTRUCTIONS
1. in a mixing bowl, take maida, besan flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, cardamom (crushed), cumin seed, pulimav, sugar, baking soda, water (as required), and salt to taste. mix well.
2. this mix becomes to smooth and thin. keep for 2 or 3 hours.
3. cut the each bananas(nendra pazham) in to 3 long slice.
4. heat oil for deep frying in a pan or kadai.
5. take a banana (nendra pazham) slice. Dip in the thick batter and drop in to the hot oil. Fry on both sides.
6. drain it to a paper towel
