Chicken perattu / Chicken pirattu –

CUISINE
Indian, kerala style

INGREDIENTS

600 gm Chicken (cut into small pieces)
100 gm Shallots (crushed)
3 tbsp Coconut flakes
5 nos Green chilli (sliced)
2 inch Ginger (crushed)
10-12 nos Garlic cloves (crushed)
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1/4 tsp Fenugreek powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala
1 nos Lemon juice
3 nos Dried red chilly (broken in to pieces)
2 tbsp Coconut oil
2 spring Curry leaves
Salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
 
In a bowl add curry powders, garam masala, salt and lemon juice. mix well.
Rub the mix on chicken pieces, keep for 1 hours.
Heat oil in a pan add dried red chilly, one spring curry leaves and saute.
Add coconut flakes, saute till golden brown.
Add shallots, saute well and Add ginger and garlic, saute well.
Add chicken pieces, green chilly and garam masala, mix well.
Cover with lid, cook on low flame. when cooked, Adjust salt, add curry leaves. mix well and serve.
