India has made a commanding entry into the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 by finishing atop Group A, maintaining an unbeaten streak in the group stage.

Their latest win was a 44-run victory over New Zealand, where Varun Chakravarthy’s stellar bowling performance (5/42) and Shreyas Iyer’s crucial 79 runs guided India to a total of 249/9. Despite an early batting slump, India managed to recover with Iyer and Hardik Pandya's contributions, securing the win.

This triumph sets up a highly anticipated semi-final clash with Australia in Dubai. On the other hand, New Zealand, finishing second in the group, will face South Africa in the other semi-final. India’s perfect record in the group stage reflects their dominance, and with the upcoming match against Australia, they are poised to continue their strong campaign.

India's consistent performance, particularly in the bowling department led by Chakravarthy, who made history with the best-ever debut bowling figures in Champions Trophy history, has been a key factor in their success. As they prepare to face a formidable Australian team, captain Rohit Sharma is confident that the team will bring their A-game in the upcoming high-stakes encounter.
